Many iPod accessories these days work through the iPod’s dock connector. In order to use a lot of them, the iPod has to be removed from its case. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a little dock extender, or even a 3 inch cable, that had a male to female dock connector on it? Similar in form factor to this: http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pocketdock/index.html. Then we could keep our iPods in the case and still be able to connect to these accessories.
Now this would be too flimsy or bulky for carrying on your waist, but for sitting in a car or on your counter it would work fine. The fewer times I have to remove my iPod from its case the better.
I searched high and low on the internet and found nothing. All I found were forum postings looking for the same type of adapter, which says to me there is a market for them.
