Where is the Apple credit card?

This weekend I helped a friend order a Mac Mini to replace his old 300mhz G3. While placing the order he looked into the Bill Me Later option (90 days not interest) on Apple’s site.

It was then that we wondered why Apple doesn’t have a credit card. Every other company seems to have a credit card these days. Why shouldn’t Apple jump on the bandwagon? LL Bean has one, Amazon.com has one, even restaurants have them. The list is endless.

Imagine:

You get a $25 iTunes card for signing up, and an Apple Store gift card or iTunes card for every x amount of dollars you spend. Plus, every dollar spent at Apple.com, in an Apple store, or at iTunes counts as $3 spent. Easy money towards your next iPod, computer, whatever.

I’d sign up! Anyone else?
