I’ve been reading a lot of reviews for Vista lately, and they all seem to have one thing in common. Over and over and over again you see the article say something like “…like you find in the Mac OS…” or “…similar to the Mac…”
Not that we didn’t know this, but I just find it amusing that so many reviewers are making this comparison.
This article from my local newspaper has these comparisons in it: http://www.baltimoresun.com/technology/bal-bz.pl.himowitz25jan25,0,1551268.column?coll=bal-tech-utility.
It even suggests that if you like all the eye candy stuff in Vista you’d be better off buying a Mac. The author also says that he doesn’t see Vista as a must have upgrade.
I’m not saying that all the OSX upgrades are must haves. In my opinion, many people could live without upgrading to Tiger. I did, until I got a new computer. Leopard, on the other hand, seems like it is going to be a must have (and we haven’t seen all the features yet!).
Back to Vista.
I would think that an OS in development for SOOOOOOO long, with all this time between major upgrades, would be a must have. Apparently not.
I think I’m starting to ramble with random thoughts, so I’ll stop now. Leave your comment below.
