A few days ago I let you all know that Apple had its One-Day-Sale in Germany today. For me the best reason to order my new 20″ iMac, 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD.
While I had hoped to see Apple offer similar generous discounts as they had extended in the US on Black-Friday ($101) I was left a slightly disappointed.
To be fair to Apple the pre-tax discount of €76.47 equates to roughly $113.10, the discount considering VAT was €91 – so not bad at all. However I had hoped to see a slightly higher discount (around € 100), considering that Apple prices in Euro frequently equate to dollar pricing. But maybe I am just expecting too much and to be honest, I am happy as it is.
I have ordered my new iMac and it should be delivered on December 11 or 12. Just in time for my annual vacation starting on December 14 
Thank you Apple for discounting your products once a year by a small margin (5.72%) – we really DO appreciate it, at least I do.
