Today is a Tour rest day but like I said last week, the riders still go out to ride so the bloggers still blog. Actually I’m taking a bit of a rest day, too. Today’s blog is full of links new and not so new I’ve been gathering for your reading pleasure.
One of the more interesting characters that show up each year at the Tour de France is Didi Senft. This is a good interview with him that explains why he dresses up as the Devil to attend European bike races.

Then, of course, there are fans of a different sort. I wouldn’t exactly say this guy cares as much about sportsmanship as he does about his favorite rider winning.
In other fan news, The Marco Pantani Fan Club is planning a protest on the top of L’Alpe D’Huez. Seems like the Tour organizers have come into a lot of criticism this year.

Only one of the twenty-one team bosses in this year’s tour picked Thomas Voeckler for a podium position. But then again, the Domina Vacanze boss said it was for “sentimental reasons.” Awww.

I’ve just discovered this Tour de France blog and have enjoyed the female perspective, even though once again I’m struck with “writer envy.”
