Read MoreEver since my daughter was little, she and I have played games together. iOS games, mainly, and to a lesser degree games on the Mac (although mostly just Minecraft, to be honest). She loves games, I love games, and its a great way to spend time together. Read MoreSo Apple had a lackluster 3rd quarter where they ONLY sold 40 million iPhones and ONLY made profits of nearly 8 billion. Yes, it was down from a year ago, but there’s no way Apple could have improved on the crazy gains made last year based on the iPhone 6 and 6+. Read MoreI just returned from my fourth weekend trip taken during the past two months. Two journeys were by car and two were by airplane. I live in Tucson in southern Arizona. One trip each was to Nevada and northern Arizona, and two were to Marin County, north of San Francisco, California. The California flights were for family occasions, and both Nevada and northern Arizona were for sightseeing. Only the Arizona trip included other people: daughter and son-in-law. We took our small family dog with us on the sightseeing trips and also on the first California flights.

That and all the usual nonsense that you’re used to hearing and for that they’re sorry.

Read MoreGuy is back from being ill but it doesn’t seem to make things easier for Gaz. It starts off a little rough (but Guy doesn’t edit it out because it’s funny) and gets crazy from there. Gaz thinks he may still need an AppleTV and Guy builds a RAID 1 for his iTunes content. Are Netbooks getting killed by the iPad or are they victims of their own crappiness? Android tablets are on the way (eventually), but should Apple be concerned? Would you be interested in a smartphone app that helps you through a museum, art gallery, or other attractions? The Eiffel Tower rents out iPads to do just that. Microsoft is finally putting out Windows Phone 7, some three years after the iPhone.
