Support For President Bush Eroding

Several news feeds have picked up on this. People have said (and I am one of them) that Bush is probably a one term president, with the war and the economy and all. He would be following in his father’s footsteps, who was a one term president.

But looking at the other side, and the other ‘option,’ we are faced with having a new guy in the Oval Office come next year. Nothing like a new, wet-behind-the-ears, inexperienced Leader-Of-The-Free-World, right?

Sometimes the devil you know is easier to live with than the devil you don’t. (Besides, what’s this new guy going to do when they brief him on the super secret Stargate program?)

What I have yet to figure out, and I have not figured out in more decades than I will admit to, is “Who Finds These Guys To Run For Office?!”

Out of all the great people in this country, and out of all the good and decent, well educated and intelligent business leaders, how is it we end up choosing between two clowns for the highest office in the land?! You know the kind of people I mean here, right? People you or I would not hire to work in our company, whom we would not trust with our money, and whom we would not invite home for dinner with our family – Politicians!

Lately I have gotten to the point of thinking a lottery system of picking a successful ceo to run the country would be better than the political system we have in place now. At least we would get someone who had some experience in other than graft and self interest.

So? Is it good news or bad news that Support For President Bush Is Eroding?

Comments, anyone?
