Remember Dashcode?

I installed Leopard on my MacBook at work today, which went very smoothly. After installing I was looking for Dashcode in the Applications folder. It wasn’t there.

For those that don’t know, or need a refresher, Dashcode is Apple’s program for making widgets. There hasn’t been much mention of it since Leopard was first demoed at WWDC. I haven’t even scene any articles about it since the release of Leopard.

Anyway, you have to install it from the Developers Tools installers off the Leopard DVD. You then have to dig for it in the Developer folder of you hard drive, which will have an Applications folder in that. In that folder you’ll find Dashcode after running the installer. I dragged mine to the Applications folder.

Once installed, you can make numerous types of widgets.

Enjoy!
