I have spent a little over an hour with PulpMotion Advanced today, the latest software release from Aquafadas software. So far, I really like it. But there is somewhat of a learning curve, and I feel that there is much more I can do with the software than I am already.
With access to my iPhoto and iTunes libraries, it was fairly simply to select pictures and music to build a slideshow. My first effort was to create a show with no audio, export it to my AppleTV, and see how good (or bad) it looked. Honestly, I am quite impressed so far. Picture quality was great.
I do wish I had more control over the presentation, such as the big white lines around the "area of interest" feature. If there is a way to get ride of the white boarder, I have not found it yet. (I hate the white boarder!)
More themes that take advantage of the Area Of Interest would also be most welcome.
PulpMotion Advanced is $129 for a single user license. This early on in my review process, I cannot say one way or another if you should buy it or not. I’ll let you know after playing with it for another five or six hours. But so far, I kinda like what I see! Check out the video samples up at aquafadas.com!
