Oh YEAH! Can I call it?

Chicago and Indianapolis are in the Superbowl! Just as I predicted back in October (https://www.mymac.com/showarticle.php?do=something&id=1719). Wow am I good or what? OK, I think the “or what” fits mostly here since I mostly pulled those picks straight out of someplace you don’t typically mention at a website that doesn’t cater to lewd pictures.

While I almost wish Indy wasn’t there as they beat my favorite team that actually got there in the second round of the playoffs (Baltimore Ravens), the only thing that might have been worse would have been if the New England Patriots had gone again. I was hoping for an Indy vs San Diego showdown just to have a few different teams in the hunt.

I don’t hate the Pats (Strongly dislike is about as much emotion I can gather seeing as I have no finanacial stake in any of these teams), they are in the same division as the team that has been my favorite for some 30 years, the Miami Dolphins. I suppose that makes me somewhat of a glutton for punishment as the Fins have generally not been a very good team for what seems like forever.

I guess I’m just tired of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. Just as I got tired of Joe Montana, John Elway, and their respective teams when they were on their team’s particular dynasties. Of course I never got tired of Dan Marino when he was an active player, though I am weary of his various analysist jobs, not to mention his shilling for products.

Speaking of Belichick, did anyone else see his somewhat abrupt interview after the AFC Championship game? He was obviously very upset over losing the game, but I wish he could have been a little more gratious about it. I mean he’s won how many Superbowls now? Seemed a litle less than classy, but maybe he had indigestion or something.

OK, enough about that. Chicago and Indy in the Superbowl. Here’s my prediction for the game. I think Chicago’s defense will hold Indy to less than 20 points and will get at least two turnovers. I think Chicago’s offense will be less than steller, but will score enough to win.

Final score: Chicago 24 Indianapolis 17.

Anyone have any other predictions?
