Macworld is not all Apple announcements and iPod cases, you know. MyMac’s reviewer team, headed up by John Nemerovski, is always hard at work at the show, understanding what the new product line-ups from the suppliers are.
It might not be as glamorous or high-profile as our sponsor work with the quiz and podcast, but we rely on the fact that John is an expert at getting below the surface of the show and finding the weird and wonderful, the more innovative products.
These supplier relationships are what Macworld is really about. That is why John gets to capture images of smaller company CEOs posing with their new products, while at the same time dealing with corporate heavyweights such as NEC for whom the Mac is an important portion of their business. Whoever it is, MyMac is there, representing our readers/listeners to those vendors and enjoying their support of the Mac community.
This is Mark from Wi-Gear with their new iMuffs – Bluetooth wireless stereo headphones with integrated microphone and call ahndling for the iPhone. They use a Bluetooth dongle to talk to any iPod or iPhone and allow for stereo Bluetooth audio.
Caroline from Ipevo – they do a range of IP telephony equipment that also can be used with iChat, including a pen-camera for screen and product demos and a multi-way desktop USB conferencing phone. On the desk in front of Caroline is their upcoming Internet-connected photo frame, that can display RSS and Flickr feeds.
Here Kevin Clover of Dr Bott models a pair of bespoke Dwayne Wade shoes color-matched to Dr Bott’s signature color scheme. They may improve his shooting skills, but will they stop his feet hurting after four days of Macworld showfloor graft?
Alissa from iStik demonstrates the “of course – why didn’t I think of that” product of the show. It’s an iPod Nano case with built-in magnets, that attract to a backing plate worn inside your clothing – making the Nano securely attachable (yet removable) from ANY piece of clothing.
Stan from NEC with their quite amazing 2880×900 DLP curved display – for when even multiple 30″ cinema displays are too common for you. No word on pricing yet, but I bet it would make Call of Duty a whole new experience…
Rest assured the team are still pounding the show floors looking for all that’s new and cool. Keep coming back to MyMac Magazine for further updates!
