Nemo’s Macworld SF Notes from Underground, v2008.1
[“Notes from Underground” refers to Moscone Center’s mega-basement location for most of the Expo.]
Artie Alinikoff and I spotted Bill Palmer of iProng Magazine and MyMac.com, as we entered the cold, almost-empty Press Room at Moscone. We got caught up on Bill’s latest news and schmooze, then met the rest of our MyMac.comrades outside South Hall.
During the following hour, we did a long video podcast that Tim will edit and post tonight, plus some audio interviews and a bunch of photos. It feels great to be reunited with Larry, Guy, Artie, and Tim, and even greater to spend time with first-timers Dan Robinson and David Cohen. We staff are honored that so many dedicated listeners and readers appeared dat 3:00 today specifically to meet us and be on our pre-announced South Hall podcast.
Tonight’s task is to study the Expo program to determine where and how to visit as many companies as possible without becoming overburdened or exhausted. We already have both scheduled and drop-in PR meetings lined up at nearly 100 booths, to be spread among our entire staff. New requests are still appearing in my Mail Inbox.
Tim has organized our daily Prosoft Engineering appearances. Thanks very much to Prosoft for being our sponsor at Macworld Expo 2008.
