By sea change, I mean a change at Apple that is very big. Apple has never before done something like this, licensing its iPod hardware and software to a PC maker.
By now you know that Apple Computer and Hewlett-Packard have an agreement that HP will sell an ‘HP Blue’ version of Apple’s iPod, and will bundle iTunes on every PC it sells.
I think this is a great thing for Apple, and will only increase its market share of music sales. I also think it will not diminish iPod sales in the least.
About time Apple did something like this, I think!
