Mac Developers Gather for Charity Programming Competition

ShapeShifter developer Jason Harris has assembled A Holiday Cocoa Duel (http://cocoaduel.com), a website featuring prominent Mac developers for a programming competition to help raise money for various charities.

Over a dozen Mac developers including AppZapper and Disco’s Austin Sarner, iClip’s John Casasanta, and VoodooPad’s Gus Mueller have each created holiday-themed applications for the competition.

Each developer has chosen a charity where visitors vote on which entry they like the most by donating to that developer’s charity. At the end, the winner is picked by whichever charity got the most donations.

"It’s wonderful what great holiday applications the developers have come up with for charity, and all in only three intense days of coding!" said Holiday Cocoa Duel founder Jason Harris.

The competition will run until Dec. 26 at midnight MST when all donations will be tallied and a winning developer will be declared.
