Keynote First Impressions

Well, I don’t know about you, but the keynote was very disappointing to me.

Paramount in iTunes is great, and more studios are sure to follow.

No mention of the games either, or did I miss that? More games would have been nice. I guess that is why the released Soduko and Solitaire before today.

iTV is nice, but not for me. I’ll wait for it to have TIVO like features- then I’d consider buying it.

The iPhone is extrememly cool! WOW! However, Cingular only? for multiple years? I won’t be getting it for that reason alone. I use Verizon, and I am not switching. In my area it is the best service, especially in my school. It is the only one that works in the building.

I predict that they’ll strip the phone capalities and release a cheaper full screen iPod. Maybe they’ll include the internet features on one model. You heard it hear first!

What happened to iLife? and iWork? and Leopard? That is what I wanted to see! I was ready to buy iLife today, and maybe iWork. I use iWeb (and I actually like it), and I was really looking forward to iWeb 2.0. Updates to iPhoto would have been welcome, too.

I am really surprised Jobs did not preview Leopard any further, especially with Vista releasing this month. At least give a release date and another sneak preview?

No “..one more thing?” I was waiting for Jobs to come back on stage and talk about Leopard and how it was going to be released a lot earlier than announced.

There has to be a special event coming sooner rather than later. Right???

Well, that’s my take on the keynote. What’s yours?
