Remember the days when you needed Firefox or Internet Explorer for the Mac in order to view certain websites properly, or at all? That is when I switched to Camino as my main browser.
Fast forward to March 2008- I now find myself using Safari as my main browser. Why? More and more sites I visit on a regular basis ask for Safari in order to be viewed properly. For example, the remote desktop service LogMeIn, which I have written about several times, works best in Safari. Evernote, a site I just learned about through the MyMac.com emails works best in Safari. The new Photoshop Express works best in Safari.
Of course, the iPhone might have something to do with this surge in “Safari required” websites.
I used to avoid Safari. Now I use it all of the time, and I have to admit it is growing on me. I really like the web clipping feature in Leopard.
