In recent weeks I have noticed a considerable increase to the speed at which files transfer to and from my iDisk, which you get with a subscription to .Mac.
In the past I would use a program called Goliath to manage files on my iDisk, becuase accessing iDisk directly through the Finder was incredibly slow. Transferring files smaller than 1mb in size would take minutes, and activate the spinning beach ball.
Now it is A LOT faster.
This morning I downloaded a 7mb file to my computer in what I would consider to be a “normal” download time. I did not time it, but I’d say it took about one minute (maybe a little longer).
Even deleting files from my iDisk (another long and incredibly slow process in the past) was almost immediate.
Is anyone else noticing this?
Is this a continuation of a .Mac overhall that started with the webmail interface? Is more coming on Tuesday of next week?
