Have you priced a digital camera lately?

When I bought my first digital camera, I thought I was getting a great deal on my 2mp Nikon Coolpix. After rebates it was about $150. That camera took great pictures.

For my second digital camera, I bought a Kodak 4mp digital camera for a little over $200. Again, I thought I found a great deal.

At the time, I thought I was paying a good price, and I knew the prices would keep getting lower and lower. However, I never would have predicted they’d drop this fast.

This morning I decided to get on Amazon.com and price cameras. I have a preference for Kodak cameras, so that is what I looked at.

Amazon has a Kodak EasyShare C433 4MP Digital Camera with 3x optical zoom for UNDER $100. Not only is it 4mp, and a name-brand camera, but it has optical zoom for under $100. Finding any digital camera for under $100 with optical zoom was impossible less than a year ago. Believe me, I tried.

Want a little more zooom? How about the Kodak EasyShare Z650. It has 6.1 megapixels and a 10x optical zoom for $226.00!

You can even get a digital SLR for under $500!

If you are in the maket for a digital camera, this seems to be a great time to go shopping. If you are looking for a digital camcorder, those prices seem to be amazing, as well- but that is another blog.
