Gossett Controversy resolved!

So we have a little controversy here at mymac. The question is: Who is the mystery celeb? Bill Palmer says the answer is Chris Barron. But is Bill gaming us? Is it Chris Barron? Let’s find out!
First we take the original snap:

Then we import it into Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop is the choice of image editors everywhere and it turns out that you can spot a photoshopped photo with Photoshop. It also turns out that Photoshop is extensible. So download the Gossettize plugin. Now let’s run the photo through the new filter:

Once the likely Gossett has been identified, it is time for a little more work. First, we isolate the head:

Then we use levels, crystallize, sharpen, poeticize, chalk and transparency:

It doesn’t look like much. But when we finally use the little known function “Gossett unmask” (filters -> unmask -> fighter pilot movie . Set tolerance to “not Top Gun”) :

And there you have it! Bill Palmer is hanging with Lou Gossett Jr!
