Game Night in Jeddah

I had the pleasure to be invited to my first Mac game night here in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Turns out this is one of the social activities that the Jeddah Apple User Group (JAUG) organizes every now and then.

So here’s what I saw, Mac users in Jeddah gather in one of its generous hosts’ houses, the host had a room setup for the event, offering the guests free wifi, crackers, nuts, chips, warm beverages, and soft drinks, everything a Mac geek might need.

Everyone got his Mac with him, while the host offered extra Macs for those of us who didn’t have a portable, the group then sets up a wireless network to play a game in two teams, that night’s game was “Call of Duty 2”.

To me it was a great chance to meet new friends, and share our views on the iPhone.
