The lineup of customers waiting to buy an iPhone at the Apple Store at The Grove in Los Angeles stretched to more than two hundred people by 12:30 pm local time Friday afternoon, a full five-plus hours before the iPhone goes on sale. Camera crews are gathered around the first people in line…
…while The Grove has apparently distributed free umbrellas to the first several dozen people in line.
Apple Store employees are distributing free water and free popsicles to everyone in line…
…but it might take them awhile to reach the people all the way in the back. The gentleman standing up wearing sunglasses in the picture below was the two hundredth person in line as of 12:30 pm.
