Unlike music, which updates every Tuesday in the iTunes Music Store, television shows are added all week. As a result, I periodically check the store to see what shows have been added.
The Stargate shows are two that I have been waiting to see for a while. I don’t know what took so long, but I never thought they’d be added to the catalog. I just logged into the store and to my surprise I saw both shows have been added!
Now, I don’t buy shows from iTunes on a regular basis. In fact, I have only bought 2 or 3 shows. I’ll download the free stuff, to check out things I’ve never even heard of, but I rarely buy anything. If I buy a show, it usually means I missed it and forgot to tape it.
With that said, I don’t plan on buying any Stargate shows right now, but it is nice to know that they are there.
With the new Fall season approaching, it will be really interesting to see what shows are added now that downloading television shows has proven itself to be successful. My guess is that the floodgates will open.
