Genius Ring Presenter – Review

The Ring Presenter is a clever wireless, multi-function, five button mouse and laser pointer, all packaged into a small, light-weight, soft natural rubber finger ring. Powered by a thin, built-in Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, the 2.4 GHz wireless mouse has an operating range of more than thirty feet. There is even a built-in blue LED that flashes when the battery needs to be recharged. A three position slide switch on the side of the mouse controls the modes and power on/off. The device is available in seven colors.

Techsafe Cable Lock System – Review

It was a great relief to find that the Techsafe Cable Lock System performs exactly as advertised. The combination lock works with a clip that slips through the hinge that connects a laptop monitor to its keyboard. Because the flat side of the clip rests against the display, my initial thought was,  “Go carefully because if this isn’t in place correctly, you’re going to destroy the screen.” Some people like to say that worry is like a rocking chair because it doesn’t get you anywhere, but I that’s never stopped me. In this case, I went slowly but found my concerns were needless.

Zippy BT500 and LuxePad Bluetooth Keyboards – Review

These are the iconic products of modern day gadget freaks. They’re hard plastic, “leather-like” or faux this or that, and you can operate them easily only if you’ve had lots of experience with dainty teacups and Saturday morning origami classes. If you like the feel of a carpenter’s framing hammer, you’d better go back to your cave and forget these teeny keyboards. They’re smaller than your belt sander.

I began to try and understand how I could feel this sense of loss at the passing of someone I had never really known on a personal level.

He wanted to rip his CDs at full, uncompressed resolution, and use a fairly high-end digital to analog converter in the playback stream in order to extract the very best from his music collection.

Speck SeeThru Case – Review

The case secures to the MacBook by a few small clips that clip over the side. Removing it is a little bit of a pain so let’s hope that you don’t have to do that very often. The packaging recommends that you remove it fairly often and clean off the case and the laptop but I think it’s only necessary when you can visibly see debris build up.
