Take Control of iTunes 10: The FAQ, Second Edition – Review

Okay, okay, I’m convinced! I need an iPad! Trying to read a 170-page PDF file on a laptop or desktop monitor is suckiness of the highest order! I promise’”next big bonus (yes, business at my employer’s has improved to the point that we’re seeing bonuses again, and if this first small one is any indication, the next one should get me real close to a new Retina Display iPad). I will not do another electronic book review until I get an iPad!

iFIT-1 Smartphone Speaker – Review

The iFIT-1 Speaker is an inexpensive step-up from the built-in speakers in most smartphones. Its lithium-ion battery is charged with an included micro-USB to USB cable when attached to your computer. A hidden pull-out shelf serves as a convenient vertical or horizontal iPhone stand. The speaker works well with an iPad but becomes too top-heavy to be practical when used with the stand.

rePLAY Retractable Audio Cable – Review

If you have an audio or headphone jack in your car, this little retractable audio cable will do a nice job of simplifying your cable clutter. Nano Nano

Apple claims that statistics show that most previous model iPod nano owners were not making use of the video recording capabilities. And though Apple wouldn’t openly admit it, the camera on the nano was nothing to brag about. Compare it to even an older Flip Mino and you’d probably never use the nano camera again.

NAJA for 3g iPod nano

The NAJA is a soft flexible coil with a bracket at the top to hold your iPod nano. The idea is to use the NAJA to hold your nano rather than hold your nano in your hand. I guess. I’m not really sure? The crux of the problem with the NAJA – it falls over, a lot.

iFrogz Vibez Speaker System
Review

There I was, in the conference room setting up for a presentation. I needed sound for a clip within my Keynote presentation. They had one of those mounted overhead projectors all wired up with sound. I reached behind the Windows machine and unplugged the audio and video cables and plugged them into my MacBook. The video came up, but no sound. Beads of sweat formed on my brow as I tried in vain to get sound out of that system. The presentation was set to start in less than 10 minutes and some early birds had already arrived. Read on to find out what I did.
