Okay folks, this is shameless self-promotion, but for a worthy cause. I’m on a year-long campaign to get regular iPhoto users to switch to Apple’s pro digital management program, Aperture 1.5.
I think digital photographers, both amateur and professional, should not have to waste their time in front of the computer processing photos. They should be working a program that will help them process photos as fast and effectively as possible so they/we can have more time taking photos.
Don’t get me wrong. iPhoto is great program. In many ways I still miss it. But since I’ve started working Aperture, I’m simply not looking back to iPhoto.
So in this regard, I’m inviting readers to check my and other blog posts on the O’Reilly Digital Media Site.
If you’re an Aperture or Adobe Lightroom users, you should definitely subscribe to the related feeds on that site. Photographer writers like Derrick Story, Ben Long, and Mikkel Aaland are among regular contributers to the sites, offering some really good ideas and insight about both programs.
