The current political climate is a maze of sound bites and talking points. Each side has an agenda to promote. Often we consumers are on the receiving end of facts which are true, but are distorted or taken out of context to send a negative message. Sometimes the facts presented are blatantly false. Both political parties and their supporters are equally guilty of this.
Politics has always been a dirty business but I’ve not seen it this dirty ever. In order to make informed choices we are tasked with digging through piles and piles of muck to get to the truth. It is important that we go to the polls with as much information as we can to make informed choices this year. I find it unfortunate that we cannot trust the candidates to tell the whole truth. It is disheartning that people with the agenda of promoting their candidate of choice present distorted information as truth to the general public.
