I just figured out how to make an Automator action to solve the iPhoto to CD export issue I blogged about in the entry below this one.
Here’s what I did:
iPhoto Action: “Get Selected iPhoto Items”
System Action: “Burn A Disc”
This takes the selected album, events, or photos in iPhoto and instantly exports and burns them to a CD in jpg format. Perfect for a processing machine or another non-Mac computer.
I then saved it as an application. I can place the application in my Dock, and anytime I want to export items to a CD I just have to click the icon.
I did have to specify the drive that will be burning the CD, so I don’t know if it is computer specific after saving the application. (I’m not an Automator expert by any means).
I still think this should be built into iPhoto, but this si a nice temporary solution.
If you know how to make this an iPhoto plug-in please post below!
