Stick It to Your Mac with HD

A number of products have hit the market recently to let you watch TV on your Mac. Two of these, both “USB sticks” recently caught my attention, so I felt it was time for a head to head comparison of two of these; the Pinnacle’s TV for Mac HD Stick, and Equinux’s TubeStick, both very small USB tuners for your Mac that let you watch TV right on your Macintosh.

Kensington Ci95m Wireless Mouse w/ Nano Receiver – Review

I was rather intrigued by Kensington’s Ci95 m Wireless Mouse with Nano receiver. Right out of the box, there is a lot to like, and I have not even turned it on yet. The mouse comes in one color combination: silver and dark gray, and looks good. The mouse itself is fairly small, sitting at less than 1” tall, and fits comfortably into your hand at just 6” long by 2.5” wide, and weighing about 4 ounces with batteries installed (and just 1.5 oz without!) It also comes with a VERY TINY “nano” radio receiver, so this is not a Bluetooth mouse, but rather a 2.6 GHz wireless mouse that emulates a wired three-button mouse.

The HP All-In-One L7590 Printer
Review

I am a fan of the multi-function printing device. They take up less space than four machines combined (obviously) and I only need to buy supplies for one machine. Time was, however, when owning one meant compromise on all functions. However, about 8 years ago, the first of what I considered good devices in this class started showing up from companies like Cannon, Brother, and HP, and their abilities continue to grow.

Every computer I have ever owned had an audio output port, and so far, I have not had reason to dislike the audio coming from it. I wanted to know why I needed these Firewire connected speakers over the USB flavor.

Otterbox Rugged Cases
Review

Do you take your iPod to places it should not really go? Have you dropped it in the dirt, got it wet, seen it covered in dust, sand or dirt, or do you constantly drop the thing and hope each time it will not break? Are you one of the millions who drop your electronics into the toilet each year? (Yes, it is true!) If you say yes to any of these things, then I have a product for you. For lack of a better definition, I will call it the Hummer SUV meets the iPod case, and when you see and use these, I think you will agree.

Review

Every once in while I come across a new product or company that I think is doing some very cool stuff, and feel the need to talk about them. Radiient is one of these, and while not a Macintosh product, I felt a review of their new speakers was in order here, as their target audience is very similar to Mac users. Basically, people who can appreciate high quality start-of-the-art products.
