NOTE: UPDATES are in the comments section below.
Yeah, we all have an item, or a list, of things we wish almighty Apple would make for us to buy.
Can’t be helped, you know. We are the ‘entitlement generation’ so we think we should be entitled to dictate to our favorite company those things we want them to build for us, right?
Of course, this is all Apple’s fault. What other company in the world has such deep pockets and such an active R&D?
You don’t see people pestering Microsoft for new products, do you? Nope. No imagination there. No innovation (that is not purchased). Nor do people bother Dell, or HP, or Sony.
You see the reason why we email people at Apple, once we find their highly protected email addys. It is the same reason writers like me, who love Apple products, go to such lengths to get Apple’s attention, so that they might look at what we wish they would build – even it we are the only person on the planet who wants one.
But, I am not the only one. There are thousands of us.
Take a look: HERE
The first one chosen at the above referenced site is close to the Apple Writing Device I wanted Apple to build.

It is a small palm top device, with about an eight inch screen, and a keyboard on the bottom. My device differs from this one in that I only want 55 full sized keys, and NO drives. (Under $600, please, in black or white)
Oh well. There were thousands of entries at the website where this convocation of photoshopped Apple devices were compiled (thanks, Engadget!). Only a handful of them were selected. I almost entered their contest myself. (yeah, I already know I am not that good an artist, even thought I used to make my living with Photoshop and FreeHand – Hopefully, I am a better writer than I am an artist
So. One can only hope for something new and unique from Uncle Jobs tomorrow. I am sure a tiny Macbook clamshell is not on the list – yet.
Regards,
Roger Born
