APPLE DELETES THEIR DESKTOP LINE

APPLE COMBINES THEIR DESKTOP LINE INTO THEIR LAPTOP LINE!

It’s all true! In a surprise move, on Apple’s Thirtieth Anniversary, Apple Computer is doing away with their desktop computers altogether, and replacing them with new super powerful laptop models designed to be highly mobile as well as powerful and expandable enough to easily replace your bulky old desktop computer. Once again, Apple Computer is leading the way to the future of computing.

Here is how the complete line of Apple Computers looks now.

iPod – from $99 to $599 – most of these will have larger Touch Screens and virtual wheel controls. Along with the new screens, the iPod software now features full PDA capabilities. iPods come in either Black or White – or Red, Yellow, Green or Blue, for higher priced specialty models. It is rumored that the Red Version will contain all of the Beatles’ music, now that Apple Computers owns Apple Records. (Apple has also recently bought or acquired Sony Records, BMG, Disney and NBC.)

iMate – new, from $599 to $999 – a silver or black palmtop Mac with a narrow 9″ Touch Screen and NO internal drives. Suitable for Texting, and Websurfing, with basic PDA software on board. Solid State Memory is either 8 GB or 16 GB. “It is the perfect writing tool.” iMate weighs under a pound, with an 8 hour battery life.

Mac mini – from $599 – same configuration as before, except now standard with SuperDrive. This Entry-Level Macintosh is formidable with Intel Core Solo or Duo, OS X Tiger, and iLife 06, as well as with Front Row software and the Apple Remote.

iBook – from $799 – a full featured Intel Core Solo or Duo portable computer with the complete OS X software, internal Hard Drive and SuperDrive as standard, with 12″ or 14″ screens. The iBook now comes in either White or Black models to match the iPod line.

MacBook Pro – from $1999 – powerful, fast, Intel Core Duo portable computers that are also considered desktop replacements. Apple scores here in bringing environmentally friendly computing to the desk, replacing the old, bulky energy inefficient and materially wasteful desktop models. “Expansion is a thing of the past, with everything already on our new replaceable processors and expandable logic boards.” Models have Aluminum Frames, Removable Keyboards, and come in Silver color only.

SuperBook Pro – from $2499 – featuring Two Intel Core Duo processors and 17″ or 19″ high definition Detachable Screens, with expanded memory slots on the logic board. “These are the ultimate new Macintosh computers.” Models with Proprietary Metal Frames are available in Silver or Black.

Of course, you can see all these new models and configurations at Apple.com.
