Apple’s new product announcements were nothing Earth shattering today. A $99 leather iPod case doesn’t really warrant a press conference. See Roger Born’s blog for all of the details.
Personally, I think this is an appetizer to a much bigger, more exciting, event coming in April to celebrate the anniversary of Apple. If you think back to Macworld, Steve Jobs hinted at this.
What will be announced? I don’t know, but I can venture a few guesses:
1. Movies in iTunes
2. Intel iBook
3. A true Video iPod: If this is coming, I would think it would be announced here.
4. ??? Some new, unexpected product that will be amazing.
