Black Friday or Black Friday Week?

What happened to Black Friday? The day after Thanksgiving in the US when shoppers go to stores at ridiculous morning hours for great deals? Sure, there is still going to be a Black Friday, but it seems like many retailers are making it Black Week or Black Friday Week this year. Look at Amazon. They are having Black Friday deals all week long in their “Gold Box.” Other retailers are having early Black Friday sales too.

Personally, I never go out on Black Friday. It is the start of stay away from the big stores until January season for me. If I see a good Black Friday deal I will look for it online, or pass. I hate the crowds.

However, with Black Friday Week now in play will the crowds be the same Friday? Are merchants still saving the best deals for Friday?

I”m not sure. The deals I am seeing are pretty good right now. I bought a toy for my son at Amazon for over 50% off.

I’m sure there will still be people lining up outside of stores at 4am this Friday. but it makes you wonder…is Black Friday Month next? After all Back2School sales start in June now!
