I got curious one day and emailed PF Magic to ask if they would follow up their artificially intelligent Dogz with Catz of the same nature. Well, the goddess of Catz smiled upon us on the 18th of June. That was the day that the PF Magic Catz website came online. Since its birth, which was a week ago as of the day I wrote this, www.catz.com has recieved more than half a million hits on their website (about 560,000 at 2 AM on the 25th of June.)
Enough background story already, let’s get down to brass tacks.
The Good – The kittenz are even cuter than the puppy dogz. They are as independent as dogz are loyal. They are adorable! They have catnipz, a ball of yarn, various other toys and even an artificially intelligent mouse to chase. They have food and water like dogz, but would rather be fed from a baby bottle.
Catz is a bargain at $20 and the adoption line is even open on Sunday just in case you downloaded the adoption kit on Saturday night. This program is a must have. Download the adoption kit so you can hear them purr like a finely tuned motor. While you’re at it, try and catch the mouse online to win prizes.
The Bad – You can only use the adoption kit twice for fifteen minutes a shot before ordering. Then after you order, you have to wait 10 days before truly adopting a kittenz. Until then, you only have limited toyz even though you’ll have unlimited time to use them after you order the full version. Of course, you could avoid the Bad altogether by purchasing catz at a local software retailer.
The Ugly – The only ugly things about this program are the moods that these catz get into if you don’t treat them right.
Overall – Once you install it, it becomes like a good book: it piques your interest and you don’t want to put it down (no pun intended.) You won’t want to leave them alone for a second, especially when they look at you with really big eyes and go “mew.”
