This week, we turn our attention to Shawn King, Host/Executive Producer Your Mac Life

1 – How did you get your start in technology?

I worked at an engineering firm after college. They had Mac SE30s and Filemaker Pro. It was love at first sight.

2 – What is your favorite computer of all time?

I had a 17” MacBook Pro that had been repainted “Ferrari Red”. It was distinctive to say the least. In an airport security screening, it caught the attention of NFL Hall of Fame recover Jerry Rice. We had a nice long conversation while waiting for our flight. 🙂

3 – Tell us about your latest product and website

Web site is Your Mac Life. Latest “product is Starting Point Photography’s live, online, on demand beginning photography classes.

4 – What was your first job?

Paper boy.

5 – What advice would you give to younger people just getting into technology?

Focus. Do what you love. Learn everything about it. Don’t work for free.

6 – Who was your inspiration? 

H.L. Mencken.
