I currently have an item up for auction at ebay, and I recently helped a friend sell a few items. Here’s my question: Does anyone ever bid on items anymore before the last five minutes of the auction?
My item currently has no bids. However, I do have five watchers. Same thing happened with my friend. No bids, but a bunch of watchers for the entire auction.
A bunch of people watching the auction usually means it is going to sell in a five minute free for all bidding frenzy.
Is this good or bad? The bidding frenzy quickly raises the price of the item, but the bidding will only go as high as the fastest clicker in those five minutes.
What happened to actually bidding on an item you want to buy? If you get outbid, bid again or move on.
I guess that doesn’t happen anymore. The days before your auction are now like an advertisement for the last five minutes.
