Fast Player is a Drag and Drop movie player much like Apple’s MoviePlayer, but where Apple’s version has more features and is over 300K in size, Fast Player will play QuickTime movies just as well, but weighs in at only 20K in size! (small hard drive owners take note!).

Fast Player can load movies into memory for better playback, export QuickTime movies into flat format for use with non-Macintosh computers, and is free! Creator Kevin McMutrie has created a fine alternative to Apple’s MoviePlayer, doubly so due to its small size. I have, however, found a few movies that would not play on Fast Player, but did with MoviePlayer.

If you only occasionally download and view QuickTime movies, Fast Player will be just fine for you. If you are downloading more than a few, I would suggest sticking with MoviePlayer.
