I had trouble installing 10.5.6 at work today. The Macbook kept hanging at the “Configuring Installation” part. I forced a restart and tried at least two other times.
I then found a solution.
DOwnload and install the 10.5.6 combo updater. It’s a lot bigger, and takes a little longer, but it installed without issues. The combo updater can fix minor issues anyway, so it can’t hurt.
Going to do that with my home computer without even trying the Software Update method.
